So many times I think about the book of Hosea and how God went to great lengths to pursue Israel. &quot;Therefore, behold, I will hedge up your way with thorns, and wall her in, so that she cannot find her paths. She will chase her lovers, but not overtake them; yes she will seek them, but not find them. Then she will say, 'I will go and return to my first husband, for then it was better for me than now.'&quot; Hosea 1:6-7
It's out of His intense desire and passion that He brings adversity to break us from our unhealthy ways and into His healing love. &quot;Therefore I will alure her and bring her into the wilderness and speak comfort to her.&quot;
I think that out of true brokenness comes the reality that there is no life apart from Him.</description>
