wonderful visual! It would be better if you photoshopped a little halo on anna’s head (even though she doesn’t need it).

There is dried blood on the business end of that shrew stick. I would think just leaving it out would be a warning for shews to stay far away.

Dore’: You would think. Actually, I’d leave a few dead shrews about, but they stink too badly - and who knows what other “guests” they might invite. We did have a fox yowling at the end of our driveway a couple summers ago - and I live in the city!

Good grief-Patsy…..I was impressed by you for being a single mother of wonderful kids and a great writer in a place with inclement weather. But toss in some howling foxes in the driveway (!!!) and dead stinking shrews to contend with … you are seriously brave!
