for intercessors II

Isaiah 28

“See, I lay a stone in Zion,

a tested stone,

a precious cornerstone for a sure foundation;

the one who trusts will never be dismayed.

17 I will make justice the measuring line

and righteousness the plumb line;

hail will sweep away your refuge, the lie,

and water will overflow your hiding place.

18 Your covenant with death will be annulled;

your agreement with the grave will not stand.

I Corinthians 1

27But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. 28He chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things - and the things that are not - to nullify the things that are, 29so that no one may boast before Him.

    All of you so obsessed with one American’s hospice transition should have a good look at the suffering caused by the War in Iraq, courtesy of George W. Bush.

    There are over 1500 dead soldiers, 30,000 injured on the U.S. side, 100,000 dead and who knows how many injured on the Iraqi side.

    WOW. I’d say you’re making news! At least people are reading what you have to say…the rest is up to God. I love that verse…”God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; god chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong…”

    Collin,

    Your facts are wrong, there is not a 100k dead, those are erroneous. I am a soldier, and I will go and give my life if necessary, don’t you worry your pretty little head, there won’t be a draft. Good people sleep well at night because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf.
    Anyone who was killed in the war was not starved to death over a period of two to three weeks. One is tragic, the other is cruelty. I am not ignorant of the true cost of war http://www.armytimes.com/story.php?f=1-292925-749128.php
    Your welcome

    Collin,
    Those 100k figures are erroneous and false. Made up by people who hate GW so much they will do anything to discredit him. You should not believe propaganda, but don’t you worry- we (us soldiers) will go for you, we will give our lives if necessary and though that would be tragic, we will do it for you or for others who appreciate it (like most Iraqi’s) or not (like you)

    I may sound like an idealist, but I am not ingorant of the cost, you should get to know some more soldiers/sailors/airmen and marines, you would be a better person for it -

  5. Mr Bob Says:

    oh, this is not a “transition” its a starvation, by now Mrs. Schiavo is in extreme pain and will soon go into labored breathing and convulsions followed by death. Because one person wanted her that way.

    Thank you, Bob, for posting. I have a friend from church who serves in the Air Force Nat. Guard and I have always been so proud and thankful for people like him. People who volunteer to be soldiers are very brave - truly brave - and self-sacrificing, noble and honorable!
